Active Ingredients:

Each 100 mL contains:
Sodium chloride 600 mg
Sodium lactate anhydrous 310 mg
Potassium chloride 30 mg
Calcium chloride 20 mg
Water for injection q.s.
May contain hydrochloric acid or sodium hydroxide for pH adjustment.
Electrolytes per 100 mL (not including ions for adjusting pH):
Sodium 130 mEq
Potassium 4 mEq
Calcium 3 mEq
Chloride 109 mEq
Lactate 28 mEq

Caloric value 9 per liter
Approximate pH 6.3
Isotonic
Does not contain preservatives.

Indications:

A sterile solution for the replacement of acute fluid and
electrolyte losses and for correcting mild acidosis.

Dosage and Administration:


Contents or a lesser amount as determined by a veterinarian as a single dose; usually 3-10% of body weight. For intravenous or subcutaneous use. The solution should be warmed to body temperature and administered slowly.

Cautions:

Federal law restricts this drug to use by or on the order of a licensed veterinarian. Do not administer calcium containing solutions concurrently with stored blood. Do not use the product if the seal is broken or the solution is not clear. If the entire contents are not used, discard any unused portion. Additives may be incompatible. When introducing additives, use aseptic technique, mix thoroughly and do not store.
